After working on hundreds of books and magazine articles dealing with virtually every country, I still find fascination in the creativity of artists and designers. In working with jewelry designers to bring out the best in their creations it is no longer necessary to worry about melting boots on hot lava at volcanic eruptions, contracting hepatitis or malaria, being bitten or stung by who knows what, or having to eat something completely unidentifiable -- and sometimes being glad it was unknown.
